Dr. Kami Maddocks received her medical doctorate from the University of South Dakota. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at Mayo Clinic Rochester, Minnesota followed by a Hematology and Oncology fellowship at the Ohio State University. After her completing her fellowship, she stayed at the Ohio State University and joined the hematology team. She is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.
Dr. Kami Maddocks is an associate professor of clinical internal medicine in the Division of Hematology at The Ohio State University. She works as a hematologist specializing in treating patients with diseases such as Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, Hodgkin Lymphoma, and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Additionally, Dr. Maddocks is an investigator on several clinical trials evaluating new therapies in lymphoma. Furthermore, she serves on the Alliance Lymphoma Committee, a multi-institution working group to develop clinical trials in lymphoma that can be done across several institutions.
Dr. Maddocks enjoys interacting with and treating patients and in 2015, 2016 and 2017 received the Patient Satisfaction Award, which is given to the top 10% of providers nationally for patient satisfaction.
Dr. Kami Maddocks has collaborated with Leveling Health on the Hodgkin Lymphoma Booklet series and online articles.
